BYU Closes Out Scholastic Evaluation Period
Visits to Pennsylvania, Maryland and California likely on the Schedule
This weekend marks the last scholastic evaluation period. The middle two weeks of July with be club evaluation periods where the Cougar Coaches will likely concentrate on the four big shoe tournaments. For the scholastic period there are tournaments all over the country featuring BYU interests. Here are three where a BYU Coach is guaranteed to make an appearance:
Pennsylvania
‘26 Anthony Thompson is a top wing who has included BYU in his final 15 schools he’s considering. He’s 5th in scoring on the Adidas club circuit at 19.8/game. His Western Reserve Academy school team will be playing in the Mid Atlantic Independent Team Camp in Allentown Pennsylvania this weekend.
Maryland
DMV Live II in Maryland will feature many players BYU has contacted including Darius Bivins and Derek Daniels. BYU’s only offer for ‘28 so far belongs to Isaiah Carter who will be playing at this event with Highland.
California
The Cali Live event in Ladera Ranch, CA will certainly draw some attention. Players on BYU’s radar include Cameron Holmes who is the 18th ranked player in the ‘26 class. Class of ‘27 stars Darius Wabbington and Gene Roebuck and ‘28 Adan Diggs are some players BYU will have an eye on.
